We support firm border enforcement, halting mass migration, the end of unlawful entry, and the consistent application of immigration law and deportation of illegal aliens. Illegal immigration undermines national security, burdens public resources, lowers wages for hard working Americans, and disrespects those that follow the legal process. We advocate a strict, thoroughly vetted merit-based immigration system that puts America first, protects our citizen’s jobs, and upholds the rule of law. Our sovereign nation has the right, and the responsibility, to control it’s borders and protect it’s people.
Energy
At Freedom First Colorado, we champion an energy strategy that leverages our state’s abundant natural resources to ensure economic prosperity and energy independence. Colorado’s rich reserves of oil, natural gas, and coal have long been cornerstones of our economy, providing 303,000 jobs and contributing over 34$ billion to Colorado’s economy. By responsibly harnessing these resources, we can continue to offer affordable and reliable energy to our residents while funding essential public services.
In addition to traditional energy sources, we advocate for the integration of nuclear energy into Colorado’s energy portfolio. Nuclear power presents a stable, carbon-free alternative that can operate continuously, complementing renewable sources like wind and solar and is now safer than ever with advancements made in harnessing nuclear fusion. Embracing nuclear energy not only strengthens our grid’s reliability but also aligns with environmental goals by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Water & Agriculture
At Freedom First Colorado, we recognize that water and agriculture are essential to Colorado’s economy, communities, and way of life. With growing pressures from population expansion, out-of-state demands, and burdensome regulations, we must protect water rights, invest in modern infrastructure, and ensure a balance between urban and rural needs. Despite having direct access to the mighty Colorado river’s bounty, our water is being exported to 6 other states to dubious effect, as well as being shipped out of our nation to be sold to Mexico. We believe this needs a serious re-evaluation.
Colorado’s farmers and ranchers rely on secure water access to sustain their livelihoods, and we oppose any federal overreach or policies that threaten their ability to grow food and raise livestock.
Agriculture remains a pillar of our economy, yet increasing restrictions and water shortages jeopardize its future. We support defending private property and water rights, reducing unnecessary regulations, and promoting agricultural innovation to ensure sustainability and economic prosperity. Colorado deserves common-sense policies that protect our resources while strengthening our rural communities, not heavy-handed mandates from Washington, D.C. Mining
At Freedom First Colorado, we support a strong and responsible mining industry that fuels our economy, contributing roughly 7 billion dollars towards the GDP, providing 57,000 jobs, and secures the critical minerals needed for energy, technology, and national security. Colorado is rich in natural resources, from coal and uranium to rare earth minerals, and we must ensure responsible access to these resources without excessive regulations that stifle growth. Mining has been a cornerstone of our state’s economy for 150 years, and with modern technology and environmental safeguards, we can continue to extract these resources safely and sustainably.
Federal overreach and activist-driven policies threaten Colorado’s mining future, driving up costs and forcing reliance on foreign sources for essential materials. We stand for protecting mining jobs, streamlining permitting processes, and ensuring Colorado remains a leader in domestic resource production. Instead of outsourcing critical mineral extraction to nations with poor environmental and labor standards, we should be harnessing Colorado’s resources to strengthen our economy, national security, and energy independence.
2nd Amendment Rights
At Freedom First Colorado, we stand firm in defending the Second Amendment as a fundamental right that protects individual freedom, personal security, and the ability to defend one’s family, property, and way of life. Law-abiding Coloradans should not have their rights restricted by government overreach, unconstitutional gun laws, or burdensome regulations that do nothing to stop criminals but instead infringe on the freedoms of responsible gun owners. We support constitutional carry, self-defense protections, and policies that uphold the right to keep and bear arms without unnecessary government interference.
Efforts to erode the Second Amendment through gun bans, red flag laws, and excessive restrictions only disarm law-abiding citizens while doing little to curb crime. We believe in empowering individuals, not criminals, and stand against any attempt to undermine the right to self-defense. Colorado must protect its long-standing tradition of responsible gun ownership, ensuring that our citizens have the freedom to defend themselves and their families without government intrusion.
Parental Rights
At Freedom First Colorado, we believe that parents—not the government—should have the primary say in their children’s education, healthcare, and upbringing. Families deserve transparency and accountability in schools, ensuring that curriculum, policies, and decisions reflect the values and priorities of the communities they serve. We oppose government overreach that undermines parental authority and support policies that empower parents to make the best choices for their children, whether in education, healthcare, or moral development.
In recent years, bureaucrats and special interests have attempted to diminish parental rights, restricting access to school materials, making medical decisions without parental consent, and disregarding parental concerns in the classroom. We stand for school choice, curriculum transparency, and parental involvement in decision-making. Colorado families deserve the freedom to raise their children without interference from politicians or unelected bureaucrats, and we will fight to protect their fundamental rights.
Manufacturing
Colorado should be building again—not outsourcing our future. For too long, career politicians and global interests have hollowed out our industrial base, shipping jobs overseas and leaving working families behind. Freedom First Colorado is fighting to bring back industry and manufacturing by cutting red tape, lowering energy costs through deregulation and fee reduction, improving transportation infrastructure, and empowering local businesses to produce, hire, and grow right here at home. A strong manufacturing sector means more middle-class jobs, stronger supply chains, and a Colorado that builds and competes on its own terms.
